Lampo Leong is an Internationally renowned painter, calligrapher and Multimedia artist, who received his BFA in brush painting from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in China in 1983 and MFA in painting with High Distinction from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco/Oakland in 1988.

A Ph. D. candidate(ABD) in Comparative Study of painting and calligraphy at the prestigious Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, Leong is currently a tenured Associate Professor of Art at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

He has also influenced thousands of students across the United States, From San Francisco to Savannah, in institutions such as University of California at Berkeley, Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, Stanford University and University of Minnesota at Twin Cities. He has served as juror for many art competitions, including public art projects for San Francisco Art Commission, Missouri State Fair Art Exhibition and Best of America national juried exhibition.
