AIPIM – Macau Portuguese and English Press Association – is holding a lecture on “Media Management Today – Creative Industries as Added Value”, at the headquarters of Creative Macau – Center for Creative Industries (Cultural Centre building), on 20 January 2024, at 4pm.
The lecture will be introduced by the president of the Institute of European Studies of Macau, José Luís de Sales Marques, with guest speakers Paulo Faustino, professor at the University of Porto, and Margarida Saraiva, founder and director of Babel – Cultural Organisation.
“Media Management Today – Creative Industries as added value” is an initiative of AIPIM, in partnership with the following organisations: Creative Macau – Centre for Creative Industries, University of São José (Department of Communication and Media), IMMAA – International Media Management Academic Association, and Babel – Cultural Organisation.
Moderated by journalist Paulo Barbosa, vice-president of AIPIM, the talk aims to analyse the current media landscape at a global level, especially in the Macau Special Administrative Region, and the management models in force or yet to be adopted.
In this context, the speakers will emphasise the importance of the Creative Industries for the Media sector, as generators of added value for the Media in terms of content offer, new sources of revenue and, in the case of Macau, as a diversifying agent for the Economy.
