Topologies is a collection of 3d animation and photography. The unifying theme of the exhibit is the consideration of the surface as a meeting point between the real and the virtual. The artist plays with techniques learned from the world of 3d animation, at times intentionally misapplying them so as to invite viewers into a consideration of their potential. At other times, the work seemingly relies on these effects to recharge spaces, or to suggest some new possibility. Taken together, the works represent a mediation on the relationship between the abstract spaces of 3d design and potential of the mundane.
