Sara Neves

Sara Neves is an Architect architect originally from Porto, now residing in Macau. She holds a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Architecture at Lisbon University and participated in a year-long exchange program at PUC-RJ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

In 2016, she joined the team for the 4th edition of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale “The Form of Form” working on the exhibition “The World in Our Eyes” at Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB). The following year, she participated in the Inov Contact abroad internship program, which led her to move to Macau.

From 2017 to 2024, Sara collaborated with CCA – Carlos Couto Atelier de Arquitectura. Currenlly she is a Senior Architect at MAO – Meta Architecture Office. In 2021, together with 2 colleagues, Sara won the 2nd Place at Architectural Design Competition for Young Architects 2021 promoted by Architects Association of Macau, with the theme Reimagining Future Workplace of Macau: The Vertical Campus.

In 2023, she completed the Curatorial Practices and Contemporary Arts Course at the School for Curatorial Studies in Venice. During this period, she co-curated the exhibition “Broken in Three Places” featuring Sophie Jung and Maeve Brennan at the A plus A Gallery in Venice.

In 2024, she taught the course “Buildings of Macau and Hong Kong” in the Architecture program at USJ.
