Pedro Madeira Pinto

Pedro Madeira Pinto was born in Lisbon. He studied graphic design, painting and sculpture in ESBAL (School of Fine Arts of Lisbon), and ARCO (Centro de Arte e Communication). Was a swimming coach in Spoting Club Portugal until 2008, at which time I devoted myself exclusively to the arts. Since then he have been developing his drawings in large scale using an unusual technique (ink pen 0.25) to make  art works for Cape Verde.  Having held several exhibitions in Portugal and Cape Verde. His works are collected by  MAH (Museum Angra do Heroismo and the Municipality of Mindelo (Cape Verde), as well as private collections. Pedro Madeira Pinto, was invited to introduce to TV programs such as: RTP Africa (“Bem-Vindos”), the SIC (“Ethnias”), and in Cape Verdean television during his exhibition at MCC (Mindelo’s Cultural Centre). Also, his work as been publishing in mgazines and was the cover of the annual edition 2008 “Atlantida” of IAC (Azorean Cultural Institute). He had been in “2ª exposição internacional de artes e letras Coninter” – Estoril, Portugal;“hábil’ art 2014” axis ofir hotel, Ofir, Portugal;  “hábil’ art 2013” axis vermar hotel, Póvoa de Varzim, Portugal; “atuarte – um projeto primeiro passo, espaço PT andrade corvo, Lisbon, Portugal; “belém art fest” museu de arte popular – Lisbon, Portugal;”feira tradicional africana” -teatro da luz – Lisbon, Portugal. And he had been in solo exhibitions “sombras do que ficou por dizer” museu de angra do heroísmo – Angra do hHroísmo, Azores, Portugal;”2866km d’sodade” hotel porto grande and cultural center respectively at Mindelo, Cape Verde ;”2866km de saudade”, casa da morna – Lisbon, Portugal; “a alma dos sonhos” and “reflexos de cabo verde”  at gli amicci – Lisbon, Portugal.
