Carol Kwok

Carol Kwok was born and raised in the ex-Portuguese colony of Macau. She immigrated to San Francisco, California at 16, where she continued her education and graduated in Fine Arts Photography. Following graduation Carol worked in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. Following this move she briefly worked as a portrait photographer in Beijing, China. Carol then returned to Hong Kong and started her own studio and worked with both international and local ad agencies including TBWA, BBDO, Ogilvy & Mather, FCB, DDB, Bates China and Asia, 141 Worldwide, CTWCM. Carol moved to England several years ago and now works between London and Hong Kong. Carol says about her work, “I try to be as conceptual as I can, because I come from a Fine Art Photography background. My aim is always to create something timeless. Somehow I am always drawn to symbolism and tangible ideas. The end result somehow has always created a mysterious tone to it. Her hobbies include polaroid photo taking, anything to do with art, music and fashion in that order, hanging out in flea markets and reading.
