Carlos Alberto dos Santos Marreiros, GOIH ; BArch ; MArch ; FCACM ;FAAM ; UIA ; ARCASIA Born in Macau in 1957.

Professional architect, Partner and Director of MARREIROS, Architects, Engineers & Town planners Ltd. and East & West Projects & Design, Ltd.
University Professor, Writer and Artist, studied in Macau, Portugal, Germany and Sweden. Won several local and international awards in architecture and art.

Decorated by the President of Portugal with the title of Great Official of the Order of Prince Henry, 1999

Decorated by the Governor of Macau with the Medal of Value, the highest distinction of Macau, 1999

Decorated by the Governor of Macau with the Medal of Cultural Merit, 1987

Has been Guest Professor in Graduate and Master Degree Programme at the ETHM, University of East Asia, Macau / University of Macau, International Opened University of Asia – Macau, Instituto de Estudos Europeus de Macau and The University of Hong Kong. Is Honorary Professor at the SNAA of the State University of Shanghai, People¡¦s Republic of China. Is Honorary Professor at the FAU of the University of Huaqiao, People¡¦s Republic of China.

Is Trustee of the Macau Foundation, member of Macau-SAR Government Consultative Council of Culture and of the Macau-SAR Government Environment Council.

Is President of the GA of The Macau Architects Association and Delegate of the Council of ARCASIA-Architects Regional Council of Asia (1999-2002) and Deputy Chairman of ARCASIA for Region C ( PRChina, Japan, South Korea, HKSAR and MSAR ) 2003-2004.

Decorated by the Chief Executive of Macau-SAR Government with the Medal of Professional Merit, 2002.
