About the exhibition
“25” is a photography exhibition that celebrates the vibrant essence of Macao through the lenses of multiple talented young artists (students and former students of USJ’s Bachelor of Communication and Media). The collection presented here showcases five different themes, each capturing unique facets of the last decades of this territory – unique landscapes, urban life, culture, nature and, of course, its people. Each theme is presented through 25 pictures that illustrate a diverse range of perspectives.
In honor of Macao’s return to China 25th anniversary, this exhibition invites you to experience the city in a fresh light – each photo tells a story that reflects the spirit, creativity, and aspirations of a new generation and also serves as a platform for dialogue about identity, culture, and community sense of belonging in Macao, today.
The Department of Media, Art and Technology of the University of St. Joseph went through its archives to create this curated selection, presented in creative clusters of photos of great symbolism, meaning and beauty.
