Wong Weng Io

Born in Macau, Wong Weng Io has finished Bachelor of Art (Fine Arts) with First Class Honour in Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Australia in 2015. She is now based in Macau. Launched solo exhibitions including: “I Upload Therefore I Exist”, Orient Foundation (2018), Confusion of Confusions II: Chaos”, 1844 Macau Photography Art Space (2019) and All the Memories will be Good in the End”, Post-Ox Warehouse Experimental Site Macau (2020) and more; Recent group exhibitions including: “Interference Project” Unit, “Resistance: An Experiment in Speed”, “Boomerang” OCAT Biennale 2021, Shenzhen (2021-22), Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2021 – Selected Works by Local Artists”, Former Municipal Cattle Stable, Macau (2021), Truly False, Exploring Factualness from MacauCasa degli Artisti di Milano, Italy (2021),“The 3rd Shenzhen Biennale of Contemporary Art”, Shenzhen UNESCO Gallery, The Sea World Culture and Arts Centre, Shenzhen (2019); She was also the co-curator of Macao Pavilion for “Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2021”; She was awarded “Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2021” Selected Works by Local Artists (2021), The 8th Orient Foundation Art Award” (2019) and the Excellent Artwork Award of Collective Exhibition of Macau Visual Arts”(2018).
